Connect Mixpanel to see how your Fibr experiences influence real user behavior. Once connected, every time a visitor sees a personalized experience or converts, Fibr sends that event straight into your Mixpanel project—so you can measure the impact of your personalizations and experiments right alongside the rest of your product analytics.

## What you'll need

Fibr sends events using the **Mixpanel snippet already loaded on your page**. Make sure your site is running your own Mixpanel instance before you connect—otherwise the connection will succeed but no events will appear.

You'll need three things from Mixpanel, all created inside your own Mixpanel organization:

- **Service Account Username**
- **Service Account Secret**
- **Project ID**

## Step-by-Step Guide of Mixpanel Integration

Log in to the Fibr Dashboard and Navigate to **Settings** -> **Integration**

Navigate to the Mixpanel Card and Click on Connect.

Add the **Service Account Name, Service Account Secret, and Project ID.**

Troubleshooting

| **Symptom**                                                  | **Likely cause**                                                                                  | **Fix**                                                                                                                |

| Connection fails right away                                  | Wrong username/secret pair, or the secret was copied incorrectly.                                 | Regenerate the Service Account in Mixpanel and re-enter both values.                                                   |
| 403 error when connecting                                    | The Service Account isn't scoped to the Project ID you entered.                                   | Confirm the Project ID matches the project the Service Account was created under.                                      |
| Status shows **Connected**, but no events appear in Mixpanel | Your Mixpanel snippet isn't on the page, consent hasn't been granted, or the event toggle is off. | Confirm Mixpanel is loaded on the page, check the consent state, and make sure **Send Events to Mixpanel** is enabled. |
| Events show up in preview but never in production            | Expected behavior—preview mode intentionally suppresses sends.                                    | Not a bug. Validate on a live page instead.                                                                            |

## Managing and disconnecting

- Your Service Account secret is **encrypted at rest** and never shown again after you enter it.
- To disconnect, remove the integration in **Integrations → Mixpanel**. This deletes the stored credentials and marks the connection as disconnected. Events stop sending.
